Town Council meets one Monday each month at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.* All meetings are open to the public and are televised by Cogeco Cable. Specific information on meeting dates and times is available on the Council Calendar, which lists all Council and Committee meetings for the Town of Milton.
*As of April 1, all Council and Committee meetings will be held at the Milton Sports Centre Banquet Hall, 605 Santa Maria Boulevard, Milton, until further notice.
Agendas and meeting minutes for Town Council meetings are available from the Council Calendar
Members of the public who wish to make presentations to Council or its Standing Committees on their own behalf or on behalf of companies or organizations, are called delegations to Council. Delegations are encouraged to first bring their concerns to the appropriate Standing Committee of Council rather than to Council. This procedure allows Committee members to weigh all arguments before making a recommendation to Council.
Before even making a presentation to one of the Standing Committees, we suggest that you discuss your concerns with a member of Town staff and/or your Councillor. If your concerns cannot be addressed in this manner, Town staff can advise you of the next step to resolving the issue.
The Town of Milton is divided into various areas called Wards; Councillors are elected to represent the residents in each Ward. Use the Councillor and Ward Map information on this website or the Region of Halton Replocator to find out information about your local Councillors or School Board representative.
