All Candidates Meetings - The Town of Milton now offers the opportunity for organizers of all candidates meetings to post their event on the Town’s Election webpage. Continue to check this calendar for information on when and where candidate meetings are being held.
Advanced Voting - Voting made easier! The Town of Milton is introducing two days of Shop and Vote at the Milton Mall along with additional advance voting opportunities to cast your ballot prior to Election Day on October 25, 2010.
Enumeration Information Available - Between April and May, the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is mailing enumeration forms to households where MPAC has out-of-date or incomplete information in its database.
Additional Trustee - The Halton District School Board has allocated an additional trustee to the Town of Milton.
Just Moved? - If you are planning to move to Milton prior to the Municipal Election to be held on October 25, 2010, you will need to know where you are eligible to vote.
Voter Identification - Recent changes to the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 now require electors to produce identification prior to voting in the 2010 Municipal Election.
Financial Filings - Amendments to the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, now require the posting of the financial filings on the internet once the documents are filed. (Section 88(9.1) Municipal Elections Act, 1996)
Nominations opened on January 4, 2010. If you are interested in becoming a candidate in the 2010 Municipal Election submit a nomination paper.
