Parking Regulations
The Town of Milton, along with many other surrounding municipalities, provides
for maximum three-hour parking on all roads unless otherwise posted. Parking
Enforcement Officers provide enforcement
of parking regulations on Town streets.

Important Notice: If you receive a parking ticket after obtaining a consideration, please contact us within 24 hours at 905 878-7252 ext. 2530. Failure to contact us within 24 hours may result in your ticket not being reviewed.
Traffic regulations in Milton
The maximum three-hour parking limit has been provided to allow for the following:
- To reduce the number and length of time that vehicles are parked on the
street;
- To allow for road maintenance, waste collection and snow clearing activities;
- To encourage residents to park their vehicles on their own property;
- To allow on-street parking for short-term visitors.
In addition, no parking is allowed:
- In any area where 'No Parking Anytime' signs are displayed
- On a grass boulevard
- On a boulevard within fifty metres (50m) of an intersection and three metres
(3m) of the curb line
- Within three metres of a fire hydrant
- Within one metre of a driveway
- Facing the wrong direction on the road
- On or overhanging a sidewalk
- In a manner that obstructs traffic, road repair or snow removal
- On any highway for the purpose of displaying the vehicle for sale
- In a space designated for persons with disabilities without displaying a
valid disabled person's permit
Important Notice: On street parking is not permitted during snowstorms,
as it impedes winter control operations.
Extended on-street parking
Homeowners may request permanent
extended on-street parking.
